Explanations Relating to the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union (PORTUGUESE)
The Bureau of the Convention - at its own instigation and prior to the actual adoption of the Charter - prepared explanations for each article of the Charter.
They are intended simply to clarify the provisions of the Charter, indicating the sources and scope of each of the rights set out therein. They have no legal value and were designed for information only.
